Why shut down those services when people most need them? Typical government BS.

It is actually smart because they were afraid of a remote detonating bomb (most common source is using cellphones).

This is not Israel. This is not China, North Korea, or Iran. Government cannot shut down communication for an "emergency!"

Just wait until it's a simple protest. You guys can't run scared and expect the government to help you. A very slippery slope.

Would you rather more, and more bombs get detonated using a cellphone? Is using a cellphone more important to you than surviving a terrorist attack?

Those who give up their liberty for more security neither deserve liberty nor security.

Just think, not that many years ago, we had no liberties because we didn't all have cell phones. It's a good thing we finally have liberties to fight for!

I think your tin foil hat is on crooked, you should fix it. Or, better yet, let's worry about more important things, like the families and individuals who were impacted by the horrific events yesterday. Cell phone service is a luxury and pales in comparison to the lives lost and injuries sustained in a senseless bombing. You should be ashamed of yourself.

That particular quotation is just total BS.......if you actually believed that your house would not have a front door...you would never look both ways before crossing the street....you would never protect your WiFi network with a password, you would never use a firewall to prevent hacking....

I could list literally dozens of example...

The fact of the matter is that every single human being 'sacrifices liberty for security' literally HUNDREDS OF TIMES A DAY...

The fact of the matter is that life is a lot more complicated than simple minded slogans like this make it out to be..

Life is about finding a balance between competing values all of which are good, but which in conflict to a degree....

Life is about trying to find the c...

It would annoy me if my service was suddenly cut off...but if the reason was to prevent detonation of a bomb by cell phone, I think I would understand....

Exactly!

So I have a T-Mobile sim on their way, a friend is letting me borrow his old MyTouch 4G and I'm going to do a "test drive" of T-Mobile's network here in Ct.

Considering getting the **S4** it will be a really big upgrade coming from a Droid Charge.

I like Android, and I like the Galaxy S series....but I've kind of made up my mind that from now on I'm only buying stock Android.....because the OEM modifications usually tend to try to 'fix' things that are not broke,.but good luck with that S IV!

I think a lot of things Samsung has done enhanced the Android experience. With regards to TouchWiz,
I use Go Launcher, it's very versatile and customizable.
