I've been a Verizon customer for over a decade and I have no plans to move on, but I do get tired of this, "It's for your own good," crap.

They pulled this when they wanted to put a data plan on every phone that could access the internet, saying that, "It would prevent any surprises on the bill."

The carriers now have us all by the boys.

Why can't they just be honest, instead of treating us all like children.

I can handle my phone usage by myself, thank you.

I can also read my contract to find out when I can upgrade. That information used to be on their website right beside a picture of my phone.

Oh, well. When there's universal wifi, maybe I can unplug the phone for good.

Of all the things I use my cellphone for, phone calls is the least used.
