please... you can easily check your upgrade eligbility with att from your cellphone by dialing *639# and im sure verizon has some variant of that. this is just a ploy to make more money of subsidized phones.

Yeah, it annoys me when a company tries to insult our intelligence by giving out some crappy reasoning...I would have more respect if Verizon just said "we are doing this so that we can pay out less in subsidies for phones, which would increase our profits"
