I wish this service was available on all wireless carriers. . .

I don't know what the deal is with Americans and why MobileTv & mobile payments haven't cought on in the U.S., I really don't. Aren't we a mobile society? I'd like to watch more video content on my smartphone, this capability should be available on all carriers, and all smartphone!

well I think it is directly related to the general way TV Broadcasters/providers control in the US!
more than the mobile screens, how the hell would you pay at least $100 to get TV ? and it's not even with a guarantee that there will be no or less ads, it's the area of the world where there are the greatest amount of TV commercials per hours. Even if you have cordcutters (and interesting disruptors like Aereo, and of course Netlfix,...) so many people still get these bundles, it's shocking.
In other territories, more and more TV channels/group which are based on audience/advertising give their stream accessible on mobile, tablets,... whatever you want

I went in a T-Mobile store one time asking if they have a brochure with the channel lineup for their MobileTv offering, they didn't.

It's free just like TV. Your carrier doesn't need to get involved at all. All that is needed is the proper hardware in the device.

It doesn't use any cellular data or any other carrier services so the carriers can't make money off of it and perhaps that is a reason they don't want it on any of their phones or tablets. There are mobile phones in other parts of the world that receive digital TV but their DTV standard is different than the one in the US.

It might mean the return of the external antennas or making a thicker device but I think for windows 8 tablets you might be able to add a internal card and get that wonderful and free mobile TV whenever you want it.
