Legere: "Get this, if we suck this month, drop us! Go somewhere else!"

Wait.....am I hearing this right? Unsatisfied customers are free to leave.....no ETF?? I NEED details on this. Look I have been patient for a LONG time but I am tired of being 90% 2G MOSTLY EVERWHERE I travel. I wonder if I can "cancel service" have not ETF and then just sign up again on one of the new no-contract plans....that way at least I am no longer committed and I can still give them a chance to "fix this network to at least 3G or '4G'" Thoughts?! Because I have BEEN tempted to go back to AT&T

Many companies say "we dont care about if you dont have service in your area, you cant leave because you signed a contract". Not so with this company and its new announcements.

Well they better step the sh!it up with the network. They are late with EVERYTHING. Last network to get LTE, Iphone, etc. And them saying other networks are BS with contracts...ummm hello...they been doing it for umm....ohh...since they started....now it's a "sham" I understand the need to "re-vamp" the company but if your a smart consumer you will know that this "Uncarrier" approach is because they are excessively hurting as a company as a whole. We call this a last-ditched effort before we raise a white flag. Come on! I have SOLID 2G in areas where at&t had 3G or HSPDA+ 4-5 yrs ago for crying out loud!! Focus on this is more important to me then the smoke and mirrors of the new "amazing contract free plans"....a plan is a plan is a plan......

Ant..I agree about their network issues..particularly the no coverage and 2G areas. This is what is holding me back from getting T-Mobile.

However, why are you stuck on the fact of them being "late"? Are you still trying to live in the past? Is it not important of what carriers are offering now vs in the past? At this point, who cares what someone had or did not have last year, etc? Their new pricing structure is very aggressive/best in the postpaid industry. From what I hear, they will focus attention too on the network. And if so, I am a customer. But instead of looking at this in the glass is half empty way, I am looking at this as that they have made great moves in the right direction, and if they sure up the network, they will ...

I was just generalizing they are behind on everything!! I could really care less about the iphone....I'm 100% android. Yes the plans are very marketable and will make people happy but I guess I would have like to hear more of the AGGRESSIVE chatter on the network vs. the plans.

Exactly. Ok we have great plans....but that's half of the story....improve the network where 90% I am stuck in sloooow EDGE and I will stand on the mountain top supporting T-mobile....heck I'll volunteer to sign up customers for that matter! 🤣

And the netowork is the reason so many people have jumped ship....in my opinion more so then the lack of carrying the iphone. At the end of the day....people are more inclinded to pay 30-40% more to actually have a network that provides better service.

Yep...the lack of the Iphone was not the reason I do not have them..it is the network...so I agree

Everything is about that. If one can be on a premier carrier they will pay for that option, but if someone can be on a great carrier in their area why pay for the extra services which they don’t use. That’s the same mentality that Tmobile is taking here with their new announcements with the “prepaid” options. Its value vs premium. They will catch up or else it’s the end for the company or no more infusion from DT.

I feel bad for all you peeps outside of decent T-Mobile coverage. They have the ENTIRE DFW metroplex blanketed in sweet sweet HSPA+ 42, which has actually been faster on average than AT&T/Verizon's LTE in this area. I never drop calls, never loose signal (inside of large buildings aside) and always have peppy data speeds for considerably less per month than any other carrier.

I hope they build out more towers, because their service and value are both really quite excellent. They just need to be able to bring that awesomeness to more people.

as i stated before.... when you dont have the resources like these other companies it will be very difficult to compete and thats why they offer a low cost option to their customers. now that they own the market they are going to push that market some more. they are investing $4b in their networks... you know thats nothing compared to AT&T or VZ right? they each invest $16B and $15B. you cant compare. if they are late so what.. they are starting to catch up.
