How do I join your family. Either you are super rich giving all your kids almost $700 phones, or you are a very poor planner. If you can not afford to shell out $3000.00 in phones over Christmas, then that means you don't have any savings. If you really want those phones for $200 bucks a piece, you have to realize that you will still be paying that money back to the company for the next two years in high priced plans. You will pay one way or the other, so you need to become a good planner.

Should a family posting that they won't have Christmas because of a few lousy phones even be thinking about Iphones in the first place?

My buddy bought a BMW for 45,000, then proceeded to refinance his house for 30 years and wrapped the BMW up in the loan. That means that will all the interest he will be paying over 100 grand for the same car. Its not always smart to make payments on certain things. Shocked
