I was kind of wondering. I hope sprint does not take the GSM chip out of the Samsung 4 like the S3 model they
had. If they do it would not make it a world like Samsung
meant it to to be, Big Red left it in its Samsung 3. Take notes Sprint.

Sprint just got a different version, they didn't actually go so far as to open them up and remove a chip. I don't understand why Sprint doesn't sell more world phones though, you're right, it's weird.

probably has to do with how easy it is to activate with sprint (lower deposits) and thus turning around and selling the device for profit overseas.

That makes sense but it also means that Sprint isn't going to attract a lot of business customers who do a lot of international travel.

Yes, you are right, however Sprints Iphone 5, Samsung note has CDMA and GSM. Why not the the Samsung 3 or 4? makes no sense.

I believe that Verizon has a sister companies that uses GSM over in other counties. The company wants their subscribers to be on these sister networks with GSM (World Phones) Sprint has no GSM partners. They did when they using Nextel. Nextel is now done.

Verizon does have a GSM partner overseas, it's called Vodafone. AT&T works overseas as is and so does T-Mobile (because the "T" in T-Mobile stands for Telecom, which is an overseas carrier). Sprint on the other hand I'm not sure. They've made a few world phones so they just might have a gsm partner, or they might just work there with extremely high rates Laughing
