I can't speak for everyone, but I know I've dropped my old GS3 countless times without a case. Hard wood, concrete, highway pavement, each time from about 4-5' in the air (out of my shirt pocket). Damn thing didn't have a scuff or scratch anywhere on it. Makes me laugh when people give Samsung **** for their "crappy plastic phones". Damn things are nigh indestructible compared to most other (modern) phones I've seen, especially those "premium" soft aluminum bodied phones that permanently ding, dent, and scratch if you so much as look at it funny.
