A Win For The Consumer.

In my opinion, no high end phone should ever, and I mean EVER, be rendered useless just because of a damn battery failure whether it happens to a minority of users or not.

I also feel expandable SD slots are essential for two reasons:

1) Why offer 16, 32 or 64g choices? A device should be custom tailored to needs. And if needs grow, the phone should be able to follow. Manufacturers are trying to groom consumers into spending far more in purchasing the next size memory in a phone when removable is so much cheaper.

2) While not often, I have had 5 phones in the course of 27 years where the internal memory failed or phone suffered total malfunction. Having the ability to immediatly save info to a removable card when downloaded is pric...

It may be that the moment has passed, but it doesn't seem like that long ago that cell phones were a major status symbol, it didn't matter so much specifically what cell phone had, merely the fact that you had one at all was enough to make you a 'playa'....indeed for a number of years I used to refuse to buy a cell phone at all and used to say that I hated anyone with a cell phone just because I resented the fact that most people seemed to buy them just to show off how much money they had.

That really doesn't seem like that long ago.

Funny. Phones in 2005 were mostly flip or slide. Crappy Trio smart phones were a hit. Now in 2013 a phone is faster and more features than the average Americans PC. LOL

No....I'm referring to an era much earlier than 2005.....the late 80's and early 90's.....

Actually the S3 is a very capable, fast phone, with a lot of quality features. U would NOT b disatisfyed with the S3. However, if u want the latest & greatest, with several new additional features, bigger 5" display, that runs almost TWICE as fast, that's a little smaller & lighter, then the S4 is the one. Less money is better n some cases (phone for wife, son, daughter, employees) N my case I have found n the past few years, if I'm getting something for myself & I go ahead & bite the bullet & get the latest & greatest, I'll keep the product twice as long & actually cost me less $ n the end. U're choice. With the 16GB model @ only $199. @ ATT, with 2 year contract, makes the choice much easier. Thanks, FreddieBoy Cool...
