Good question but there is only one way to find out.

"Reusing or recycling these phones could save enough energy to power more than 24,000 homes for a year. With BYOSD, MVNO customers simply bring a deactivated Sprint device to their MVNO, who must determine the device’s eligibility for the BYOSD program. Upon meeting those specifications, the device is then activated by the MVNO. "

My guess is No. Probably better off using it on Virgin. Check with both.

One thing I forgot to mention when it comes to device eligibility I think that is more towards finding out if the phone is reported lost, stolen, or if it is tied to a delinquent account which in that case it wouldnt qualify for anything anyways. :3.

Good luck!

Only Sprint devices are included in the BYOSD program. Boost and Virgin devices are not eligible for reactivation, as both are wholly-owned subsidiaries of Sprint.

This is the reply I got from John Votava of Sprint. His info was below the news release that announced this new policy

VMO and boost are not considered MVNO per John Votava of Sprint. Other companies like Ting, Voyager, etc are eligible as long as phone has a clean esn..

Boost is not an MVNO. They are owned by Sprint.
