they don't have a BB app.... never have.
Misleading article aimed at further discrediting Blacbkerry. No surprise, really, considering Mayer's unfounded contempt for the company.
Yahoo is a terrible company with terrible products...Blackberry should send them a Thank You note for doing this public service

Yeah, that's right--because Phonescoop, which has been around for 12 years, would just make up a story about Yahoo products for Blackberry.

As a long time BlackBerry user I can tell the troll above that Yahoo, does in fact, have a BB application. It's not very good IMO but they do have one. I've downloaded it several times but soon deleted it because it was so clunky and slow. Easier to use the browser to get whatever you need from Yahoo

I just checked Blackberry App World for Yahoo! and the only Yahoo! apps I found were Yahoo! messenger and messenger related apps. I found no official Yahoo! related apps...and I don't know anybody who uses Yahoo! messenger, if they do, they can still send Yahoo! IM's as a text message even if Yahoo! was to pull support for Yahoo! messaging on Blackberry.

The last time I even d/l'ed it was maybe a year or more ago and honestly don't even remember what the app did/offered. I've carried a BB for 10+ years now and found, for me anyway, anything I wanted from Yahoo I just used the browser.

What I wanted was a Yahoo! email app for Blackberry, like the one Gmail used to have....in particular I would like to be able to flag an email as 'spam' on my Blackberry, rather than logging in to my email account on a PC and doing it there....I don't get spam in my inbox very often, once or twice a year, but it still be nice to be able to do it...

Why even bother arguing over two companies that are becoming more and more irrelevent.

Actually, they did have a couple of apps I've installed on a Blackberry 9000. There was a messenger app and some attempt at giving you yahoo news and other info in another app.

Yahoo! Messenger is actually installed by default on Blackberries, along with Google Talk and Windows Live Messenger....
