The jury made many mistakes

Following the case I thought the jury made many, many mistakes. They seemed to misunderstand that just because the two companies products did certain things in similar fashion that doesn't necessarily mean the underlying technology is the same. It was a very technical case and quite frankly people that do not know this stuff shouldn't have been on the jury. I follow tech fairly close and I probably shouldn't even have been on that jury.

Well...of course they did, they aren't experts in copyright law, and they aren't experts in tech either. In fact, if you are knowledgeable about copyright law and tech, you wouldn't be allowed to serve on the jury.

I'm not sure that juries serve any useful purpose in these kinds of trials.....it would be better for them to be settled by judges on their own, after consulting with technology experts.

I've had the misfortune of serving on three juries and I have no doubt the jury had no clue.....it's ridiculous the restrictions on juries....if you know anything about the subject of the trial, your're dismissed, during the trial you aren't allowed to take notes or ask questions, and you aren't allowed to discuss the case with the other jurors except during deliberations, by the time you get to deliberations even the most serious and civic minded person is likely completely confused about the case, and worse, in most states you aren't even allowed to review the evidence to clear up any misunderstandings....first they try to make you as ignorant as possible, then they expect you to make a decision. Frankly it's amazing if juries ever get th...
