I take it I just call my provider and ask how to sign up. Good to know, thanks for posting that phonescoop. 🙂 🙂

Actually, PsyKe posted a link in another forum. Funny it popped here too. Basically you go to the website sign up and choose five zip codes to recieve alerts from. I assume standard txt msg charges apply.

With Cingualr, there is no charge. As far as the other participants, I'm sure they are doing the same.

I have Cingular and went to the aforementioned link to sign up both of my wireless numbers and it stated that there was no such wireless number and/or my carrier doesn't subscribe to the service.

Try signing up again because I didn't have any problems signing up my Cingular or my Sprint numbers.

Were you ATT before the merger? If you were and you haven't officially migrated over you numbers may not be in the Cingular database.

I have service with Cingular Wireless and went to sign up my wireless number and I got a message that stated that there was no such wireless number and/or my carrier doesn't subscribe.

I just signed up my Cingular and my two Sprint phones. It's easy!
