White and Silver

The white and silver model looks better than the black model, I guess I'm just tired of all black phones. The white and silver pictures seem to have more personality.

I am very skeptic of the this phone because I have the HTC One X and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Because of random reboots and software glitches.

I would agree going again with a non removable back and no expandable memory is a huge mistake. One X proved that and HTC is going to have to hit a homerun with this to make up for it and so far I don't see that. Also with everyone worrying about their data useage with having data limits I don't find having all that updated info all that great either.

Another big disappointment is they still use off screen navigation, when 4.0 supports on screen just fine (after using the nexus 7 I prefer on screen navigation). I use the multi-tasking button a lot on my HTC One X to switch between apps and I am disappointed that they dropped it.

HTC will continue to fail till they learn that stock android is getting great and it doesn't need to be skinned, removable battery and expandable memory is what people want. These are reasons why people bought Samsung, if HTC kept their widget and gave us stock android with removable battery and expandable memory they might be able to fight for the top positions again.

I wish there wasn't such a drop in quality (manufacture-wise) between phones without removable batteries and those with.

Most phones with removable batteries (such as the SIII and successors) always end up being mostly plastic and feel cheap. As little of an Apple fan as I am, I have always loved the weight of the iPhone 4 series because it just felt solid.

Even my Galaxy Nexus feels lame in comparison to an iPhone (5's not included, those things are like cardboard).

I agree with you LegendOfSteve. I like the way the iPhone 4 feels and the Galaxy Nexus feels cheap. But as we know the functionality is the most important and I'd rather have a cheap feeling phone than a cheap operating system.

That's no coincidence. A phone with everything sealed up in one solid block will almost always feel better than a phone with separate parts latched together. Phones like the iPhone and One feel more solid because they are more solid. That's just one of the trade-offs with a removable vs. non-removable battery.

Wow. You might be the first person I've ever heard say that! 😉

But I know HTC's answer from a direct conversation with their head designers. They feel that on-screen Android controls are a waste of valuable screen area. They basically never change, so why waste pixels on them? Why not give you more screen to see more stuff? That's their position.

Stock Android, removable and expandable memory is what you and the geeks want. I don't know anyone that cares about any of those things that you listed. They don't even know what stock Android is to even care. If a removable battery or expandable memory was so important, the iphone, Lumina 920 etc, wouldn't be selling.

a non removable back or expandable memory is not a huge mistake. Look at the iPhone. They have neither and are selling more than HTC. They are selling more than the Galaxy S3. I'm an iPhone hater but somehow they are doing something right. They have turned ordinary people into iSheep. And it is good they are not offering a 16GB version becuase I have a galaxy Nexus and 16GB is too small for even me.

I feel the same way, enough with black phones!
White phones are a whole lot better looking!

That doesn't bother me so much more worried about how junky the One X was
