Most people I know would say that Pandora needs to catch up to Slacker....

In what way is Slacker 'behind'?

I have to admit that wording surprised me.

I think song discoverability and station creation are WAY better in Pandora than Slacker.

I've never felt the need to create a station in Slacker simply because the pre-programmed ones are excellent....

Personally I have not used Pandora in a long time so I am unsure of how it performs now. But I stopped using it because it kept repeating the same artist over and over and the music discovery aspect of it was limited to popular artist.

Also Pandora and Slacker wanting to charge a fee for "ad" Free Radio and "Cache" ability... So disappointing how about they offer a option to make a Playlist and the ability to download them so you dont use up data if you have a data cap with your plan.

I use Pandora frequently and Grooveshark when I want a song on demand. Pandora still kicks out great discoveries for me every day. Trying out Slacker now but premade radios are just not as diverse as the ones I've created on Pandora. May have to give Spotify a try sometime soon, though. Not sure what TBone is talking about though, I don't even know anyone who knows about or uses Slacker. Yet Pandora is everywhere.

Yep Pandora is popular for that reason everyone uses it. Slacker the only reason I used it is because it came pre installed with a phone I purchased a couple years back. Spotify is by far the best music streaming app and service I have ever used.

I dont even use Google Music anymore even tho I have my entire library on the cloud. Razz
