There is a big difference between the two terms "market share" and "profitability".
You can very much have a small share of a market and be profitable if the company behind it is efficient which is something Blackberry has been working on behind the scenes for a couple of years. They have been cutting the fat for a while now and are no longer the bloated company they were.
You can even LOSE market share while GAINING customers at the same time which has been Blackberries situation.
Profitability is the key to Blackberries success or failure. I am not convinced that the US market (even though its lucrative) is even a make it or break it deal for them.
