Just went over to speak to my buddy about this after reading the review on this site.

He said he was having similar battery problems, however, he stated that the battery life has been increasing substantially every day. First day he got 6 horus out of it, second it lasted for 10, and he said that the last few days, it has gotten him all the way through the day.

Device also looks and feels great. The top and bottom edges are slightly tapered so it slides into your pocket. The otterbox design is horrible - it leaves bezzle (sp?) exposed at the bottom of the screen.

The hub is great, however, and the way the device multi-tasks is excellent. When you are typing a message, the "predicted words" appear very small hovering above certain ...

Six hours of battery life?

There's got to be a problem with the default settings there....something is turned on by default that shouldn't be....WiFi, Bluetooth, something.....

I agree, that is most likely the problem. Out of the box, he didn't change many settings. After playing with it for a few days, and tweaking it to his liking, the battery life increased substantially. Probably from turning on/off things like Wifi, bluetooth, maybe other cellular radios. Not sure, but he said that on the 5th day, which would've been yesterday, the battery life got him all the way through no problem.

That's encouraging....it's also possible he was running multiple apps in the background and wasn't aware of it....Ive had a phone run down in a very short period of time and every single time it was because I had an app running that I'd forgotten about...

If you can reasonably get 24 hours before charging that's all I ask....the days when you could get 2 or 3 days between charges seem to be gone forever....

Yeah, I agree, unless you get a razr maxx or find a huge 3rd party high-capacity battery.

My old Nokia feature phone would last 2 weeks on a single charge....but that was back when I still had a landline and used my mobile for like 10-20 minutes a month for 'emergencies'.

Same here. OS7 seems to at least tell you which app was the issue too.

Oh yeah, OS 7 makes it easy to tell which apps are running, but you have to look....if you don't check to see if any are running, you won't know, and if you thought that you closed but it turned out that you didn't well...you don't really know unless you check.

in 7.1 it actually shuts down a battery draining app for you and then tells you what it did.
Its done this at least twice with me so far.
