Question for Eric/Rich. Have you tried syncing the phone to a Mac computer? Any difference with the BlackBerry Desktop Manager between a PC and Mac? I'm curious to know since traditionally BB and Mac have not worked so well.

For years Blackberry and Mac didn't work together all that well but I have Blackberry Desktop Manager on my Macbook right now and it seems to work fine...I have no problems with it....

The new BlackBerry Link app is a piece of garbage. I tried to sync music/photos and never succeeded.

I used the BBL software to select about 100 songs (500MB) to sync to the Z10. Only 64 of them transferred, and the process took probably 30 minutes. Worse, the software told me all the music was transferred successfully. Trust me, there were no DRM issues. It's just crummy sync software.

Photos would not sync from my Mac to the Z10 at all and vice versa. I had to jump through some pretty big hoops to get the photos I took with the Z10 off of the device.

BlackBerry and Mac still do not work well together. I have not tried with a PC yet.

Doesn't sound very promising. Frankly, I can't see myself buying a Blackberry without a full Qwerty keyboard.

A step backwards then, because the current version of the Blackberry Desktop Manager on Mac works pretty well.....but I can't say that going back to the old problems is a deal breaker for me because only one of my three computers is a Mac and I rarely use it for syncing anyway...they really do need to develop a team that specializes in the Mac to make the right app......but perhaps they just assume that the Mac version isn't important because most Mac users will use an iPhone anyway....and I'm not sure they would be completely wrong in that assumption.

I have heard generally the same things from people that have tried it.
Remember this is just the beginning and there is a lot to still iron out and update. Given RIM should have though about this earlier being that this is such an anticipated device.
A version with a slide out keyboard for the people that are still hooked on the keyboard would help too.
Let's wait and see..............
