T-Mobile's Nokia Lumia 710 Will Not Receive Windows Phone 7.8

I couldn't agree with you more about Nokia. I hope it makes a resurgence. I even like the familiar alerts that I used to hear when I had a Nokia phone years ago. It's funny you mention the manual update, because I have been apprehensive about trying it out of fear of bricking my phone. But there are some really good instructions out there and it worked like a charm. It's really like upgrading anything else. SO, my phone has new life. I really love it and will probably upgrade at some point to the higher end Nokia, but this is a good interim step to get more mileage out of a perfectly capable phone.
