My guess is the Z10 was given to US network operators at the end of October (which RIM widely announced), and the Q10 was given to the carriers later, perhaps in November or December. The carrier approval process takes on average five months. There's really nothing that can be done to speed the approval process up.

Still, they could've announced this later date from the get-go. The way this is happening, it sounds like something just came out that's delaying it.

I think that the Z10 was developed earlier, and it is a more modern smartphone so it has the broader appeal....I want the Q10 for the keyboard, and I'm okay with it being delayed because it gives me more time to save money so I can buy it at the no commitment price...for me...the later the better....

What did you expect from Blackberry they do not have massive resources like Apple or Samsung. Samsung can release 10 phones in 10 countries in 10 days all without breaking a sweat.
