I love how Phonescoop titles the article against Samsung, but this is against several manufacturers. Samsung is just one. Nice unbiased posting there Phonescoop.

My bad. I just noticed this was posted by Mr. Zeman. Par for the course for him. Phonescoop must have been desperate to hire him.

I see your point. But technically the suit is against Samsung, so the headline is not wrong. Also, Samsung, Apple, and Google are probably the three companies who are the most tied up in patent litigation. So, its certainly more sensational to include Samsung than Huawei in the headline.

Unfortunately, there will always be an element of sensationalism in journalism. How else will they get you to read, and by proxy sell all that advertising space? And it's the reading itself, of course, that reveals all those other juicy nuggets that are not in the headline, like the fact that other companies are named in the law suit.

There's no great conspiracy to see here, just every day journalism. Of course we can always comfort ourselves that it...

Well it really is not hard journalism to say "ITC Agrees to Review InterDigital's Complaint Against Samsung/ZTE/Nokia/Huawei." or even ITC Agrees to Review InterDigital's Complaint Against Several Handset manufacturers"

To me that is more "sensationalistic" then what he has now. Just shows a prejudice to me.

Just funny how this guy SKEWS his stories. I am certainly not a Samsung fanboy, but have always had a problem with Eric's objectivity and articles. I have little to no respect for his articles. I usually see his name and don't even bother because most of the time it is just ridiculous and even flat out misinformed and/or wrong. Just my opinion.

I agree with you in that I have seen a little bias in Eric's writing as well. But I have also read a lot of things that are interesting and informative. And even when I don't agree with him, it's at least nice to see the perspective of someone with a differing opinion. For myself, I've come to terms with the notion that objective reporting in its purest form can never really happen. To separate a man from his beliefs and opinions is at least in part to separate him from his humanity. And although I have never met Eric, I certainly have every reason to believe he is human, and don't slight him for it. Also, I really don't see him spreading misinformation with some sort of agenda or positing his opinions as fact. That, in my opinion, would be b...

I don't have an issue with a person reporting based on beliefs. I don't watch Fox News, but I know ahead of time what they believe. They don't make any bones they are conservative favoring Republicans. Same with Apple Fanboy! They are everything Apple and admit it.

What I have an issue with is biased reporting under the guise of impartiality. i.e. Eric Zeman.

Thanks for the tame comments. Usually people just call you an idiot if they don't agree with you. Kind of strange to have some one be polite and disagree. 😉
