Why even ask for a ban on something which is no longer sold? Is this just wheel-of-justice lag?

All this is Apple is trying to embarrass Samsung. Nothing more nothing less. There is no business gain as their patents are weak and basically useless.

Apple is embarrassing themselves by continuing to ask when they've already been told no. They need to work on their public image.

Public image? Apple's customers are blind mindless
consumers who don't even give buying a smartphone any
thought, they just blindly walk into a wireless store
like a zombie and say "IPhone"
I really don't think the fruit company needs to worry about
their public image.

It is true that many Apple fans are like that...but it is also true that part of the reason for their recent success is that they have done a good job of appealing to mainstream consumers who aren't blindly committed to Apple....many people own an iPod, a Windows PC and a Blackberry, or a Mac with a Windows Phone and an Android tablet....not everyone who uses Apple products is completely committed to Apple's 'system', some just buy one product because they think it is the best or the easiest to use product of that type on the market, and not because they are blindly committed to Apple.

I really think that the 21st century is about multi-platformism...blind loyalty to one company is a thing of the past....most people these days use multipl...

The key to your statement is this.

some just buy one product because they think it is the best or the easiest to use product of that type on the market,

People buy Apple because they THINK it is the best. In reality it is on par or worse quality wise then Samsung/Motorola and others. I mean they all use the same parts HW wise. In fact Apple is on record saying they use SS displays for the iPads because other manufacturers could not meet their quality standards (Sharp).

Their SW is not "better" just different. So matter of preference. Apple is really good at marketing. They sold a year old phone to people who THOUGHT it was the latest and greatest. People are catching on though.

I agree with you about Apple products in general, but I have an iPod Touch because I don't think there is really anything equivalent out there...the (now defunct) Zune HD wasn't good enough...nor is Samsung's Galaxy Player....if you want an Mp3 player that can also stream audio and video, use apps, and play games, at present the iPod Touch is really the only choice.

100% behind you on that, T-bone. The 4th generation model, apple says is clocked 800mhz - if it is, thats the fastest 800mhz device I have Ever used. My 2 year old iPod is faster than my girlfriends BRAND NEW Samsung Galaxy Ace II x. I load up temple run in about... 4 - 6 seconds. The Ace takes.... 20 ? iPod really is a quality product.

100% agree, I've also have both Systems, PS3, XBOX360, I've got a Galaxy Ace (android), an iPod, Two windows PCs, and a Nexus 7. I love the multiple platforms, you get the most out of each one by knowing what it can, and can not do.

As you can no doubt tell with my list of devices, I have a bit of an addiction to tech, I tend to buy electronic doodads that I don't really need just because I can....cutting back of buying unnecessary electronics just for the hell of it is one of my New Year's Resolutions for 2013.... 🤣

Do you know how to Stop email addresses automatically
being saved in my contacts?
After emailing someone a certain number of times,
it automatically gets saved to my contacts, and my
phonebook has ballooned to 230+ entries.

I don't want anything saved to my contacts w/o
me manually entering it!
Do you know how to stop this?

I think that happens when you use Gmail as your default contacts....I actually use Outlook so I don't have that problem.
