It is true that many Apple fans are like that...but it is also true that part of the reason for their recent success is that they have done a good job of appealing to mainstream consumers who aren't blindly committed to Apple....many people own an iPod, a Windows PC and a Blackberry, or a Mac with a Windows Phone and an Android tablet....not everyone who uses Apple products is completely committed to Apple's 'system', some just buy one product because they think it is the best or the easiest to use product of that type on the market, and not because they are blindly committed to Apple.

I really think that the 21st century is about multi-platformism...blind loyalty to one company is a thing of the past....most people these days use multiple company's products...

I think I am fairly typical....

I have 2 Windows laptops and one Macbook Pro, I have an IPod Touch, one Blackberry, a Galaxy Nexus, a Motorola Xoom Android tablet and both an X Box 360 and a Playstation 3......I have one finger in every platform out there...except windows Phone unfortunately....and I didn't do this intentionally 'I'm going to invest in every platform' I just bought what I believed to be 'the best' item in a given category that i can, and it just happened by accident because no one platform has the best EVERYTHING....
