I can see there are lots of doubters here.

Many people stopped buying BB devices simply because they knew BB10 was coming out, it would have been a waste to buy a horrible BB7 device, and the Bold 9900 is still a $600 phone (on my list), very expensive.

LOTS of people, and people I know dumped BB devices in favour of iPhone, or Android, and with good reason - besides these upcoming two devices, BB has been releasing devices that were obsolete before they even left the factory. Build quality aside - people need good specs, and apps.

For a BB, or almost any smartphone, 800mhz is not enough, and a 1000mah battery is definately not enough.

Well the reason it took so long is because the market changed very suddenly, everyone was caught flat footed by the release of the iPhone, and then by the release of Android. Look at what the market was before the iPhone, you had Blackberry, Windows Mobile, Palm and Symbian. Palm and Symbian are toast and Blackberry and Windows are struggling to find a place in the new market. It's not even that the iPhone was wildly innovative or anything, really the iPhone couldn't do anything that other smartphones couldn't already do, they just had a sleek packaging and lots media attention so that people thought it was more innovative than it really was.
