From my understanding there may be 70,000 apps so they are being built and ported over in great numbers.
As I know from having a couple of iPads around here, having a massive amount of apps to choose from isn't all it's cracked up to be either. There is lots of garbage to sort through to get the right ones.

I guess we will see.
