AT&T is worried

While I believe the Softbank majority purchase will ultimately go through, this shows the political influence of a wireless business in Washington.
AT&T will do what ever it takes to slow, block, interfere with the growth of a competitor. They know this will significantly harm their business due to the enhanced, formidable competition.
A big plus for consumers however.

And you think its just AT&T? I would include the other 2 major carriers in this.

i think you are right. I would say that 'wc4r' is correct though. This will ultimately go through, and we will start to see some serious competition in the wireless industry....It's LONG overdue

A fair and quick review is the right thing, as long as it isn't dragged on for months. There is no reason why this shouldn't be all cleared by the end of March or so.

There is a large group of people who think companies like Sprint should be given a free pass to do anything, be given cut rate or free spectrum, I don't buy into that either. Sprint is incompetent and Softbank is whats needed. They should take the whole company over not just 70% and get rid of all the upper level executives.

LOL Sprint is incompetent how? o.O

They have improved on many levels with their business. They are only agreeing to this 70% buy out because it will solve their debt problem and get them the capital to complete the 4G LTE network and Vision Network Built out they have been working on these last few years.

If any executives need to be replaced it should be ATT and Verizon.

ATT and Verizon are already cash cows. So they dont have to worry about any of that.

Tmobile has made huge improvements as well faster upgraded 3G speeds im getting 10mbps on my note 2 and HD Voice Crystal Clear Calls. This pretty much gave them new life due to the Failed ATT acquisition which provided them 4 billion to work with.

Tmobile is making all th...

Did I say anything about T-Mobile? And yes, I stand by my comment. I hope Softbank takes them over and cleans house, and improves their service.

Sigh. Sorry to burst your bubble buddy, its already been made very clear that Softbank wont make any changes to Sprints executive board. They are doing a heck of a job with what they have to work with.

As for Tmobile I included them in this talk because they are part of the major four carriers. It is relevant to the comment due to the fact that as soon as they got that 4 Billion to work with they were able to make change happen. Which I believe Sprint will do with the Softbank buy out. However replacing the executives isnt going to do anything its all on the capital to be able to move their plans and ideas forward as soon as they can.

Tmobile beat out Sprints HD Voice roll out because they had the cash to finish their development o...

Even if they stay, they will just be puppets to Softbank, and good. I'm sure over a year or so, most will be gone.
