iOS 6.1, Available Today, Adds Features to Siri

When I called Toshiba customer support for help with one of my laptops because I couldn't back up the hard drive they said 'okay the first thing we are going to try is to format your hard drive, have you backed it up?'......And I said 'I can''t perform a back up, that's the entire problem!' I just refuse to believe that it could really be standard procedure to format your hard drive as the first step of a troubleshooting process. And the worst thing is, if I had formatted the hard drive, I'd be completely screwed, I didn't have a Windows installation disk.
