The funny thing is that the analysts I read said that the main reason for the drop is that the numbers are starting to show that the iPhone is losing ground.against Android.

And many firms are changing their recommendations on Apple stock from 'buy' to 'hold'....

Again let's be clear what I'm saying, the company is NOT in trouble, they are NOT in danger...they will no doubt continue to be profitable for years.....but the growth is slowing down and it seems clear that they have passed their peak.

Everyone will blame the slowdown on Steve Jobs death, even though, frankly, the peak was reached in 2009 with the release of the iPhone 3GS. The 3GS was the last major Apple release that was not hammered upon announcement for not being innovative enough. The next big announcement was the iPad in early 2010.....and there was a wave of negativity about it....most of the complaints...no USB port....no camera....no Micro SD slot...being basically correct.

Apple is no longer the 'it' company and that's a significant development.
