My fear about more PTT availability

OK, I understand that there are some great uses for PTT devices, particularly in specific job roles. The problem is that there is already a problem with people being very inconsiderate to others with it's use and I fear that the problem will only get worse with the expansion of availability from other carriers.

For example, I've been in restaurants and had to listen to the repeated beeps and the conversation back & forth while I'm trying to eat. I have heard of extreme instances (in the news, not local) where people have been told to turn it off or leave, but I think we need "No PTT" sections to go along with the "No Smoking" sections. 🤣

Again, I know the technology has it's uses, but it seems there are just way too many people...

you know they can just put that speaker on or use a handset thats wireless or something of that nature. that is problem with your resteraunt situation. when i go to restarunts i hear the same thing but with nextel phones not as much with others. i dont care, to be honest, becuase thats what i do sometimes, till i got a wireless handset.

no ptt section? hahaha. should we have a ptt police too? what about ptt tickets? lol.. push to talk is very important for the people who needs it.

yea, i agree, people shouldnt let other people here it, but i guess thats their preference. i agree with you, though.

what negative comments on push to talk? what company?

with sprint, and verizon i tried both of them, and those werent that great. i...
