Samsung Joins Forces With Kodiak For PTT
PTT
Time will tell, make your judegements then, for post as if you're stating an opinion, not a fact. 🙂
nextel18 said:Correction. Nothing is better than Nextel on the iDen network now. Get for ready for some real competition in the future.
nothing is better then nextel on the iden network.
its just a waste of money.
nextel18 said:Actually, PTT over Cingular's network will be very lucrative.
yea, cingular wont beat out nextel for the top spot. if sprint and verizon cant and they didnt and their network is bigger then nextel's cingular wont do any better either.
its just a waste of money.
nextel18 said:Yeah, well, we'll see when the largest carrier in North America suddenly offers PTT to its customer base. Along with every other major carrier.
2-3 seconds. very lucrative. lol. if sprint couldnt beat out nextel cingular wont either.
why? becuase when verizon came out with push to talk THEY WERE NUMBER 1 TOO. they are still number 2 and they have push to talk out and they are still doing nothing to impact nextel. (same with their launch and their re-launch) same with sprint who is number 3 now, 4 then.

Cingular was testing this with moto too. it was supposed to be called a V400p. GSM PTT will never be as strong as nextel's though

From what I've read, Kokiak is working out just fine with GSM carriers in Europe...something I'm sure Nextel, Verizon, and Sprint did not want to hear. This news points out exactly why Nextel decided to run with Sprint: Nextel's PTT was about to face severe competition for the first tim...
This will be big if this is released by Cingular. I know ATTWS was testing PTT with the Motorola V400. I work for this company and it will be awesome if this came out. Cingular would be pretty much known as an all in one company! Nextel, Sprint and Verizon are going to have a lot of competition if this is released by Cingular. Time will tell.

GSM PTT may get better, but Cingular has pushed back it's launch at least a couple times in the past year - hopefully that means the final service will be quality?
I doubt it, you still cant get good voice quality in many building with GSM, how on earth is there ptt going to be any better?

you sure? its a merger of equals. they are only paying 2 billion dollars for the $.50 dividend per share. thats not a problem. they will spin off the lec which would give them billions more and unload a lot of debt. there is no problem that is going on with that.
so you shouldnt say things that you dont know.
"The merger hasn't finalized, just approved, so it could still fall through"
actually they filed already with the fcc, and the doj. the expected close is augest of this year but they want it to be earler. this merger will be closed. shareholders are mostly all instutional and mutual ...
