so i have a galaxy s II the same model
i have it rooted. in which it has jelly bean 4.1

does this mean it is pretty much the same thing as this?

no, it appears there is upgraded hardware, too. Galaxy S2 Plus is a newer model phone which supports 4G with HSPA+ and has a newer processer and camera, too.

I've looked at the specifications, it's just the same as my Galaxy S II i9100--the camera, the ram, the memory, the processor... And since I've rooted the leaked official Jelly Bean 4.1.2, it seems that there's nothing different between the two. I'm not expecting an official update to Jelly Bean anytime soon since they need to sell this newly released device first. Rolling Eyes
