Good question.

I wonder how many of these customers have their own homes and drive nice cars. But they "cannot afford" a cell phone.

Of course there is, check what species we are. People will take advantage of a situation if they can at almost every opportunity. Not everybody will, but there is ALWAYS somebody who will. Proof doesn't need to be posted to know that there are individuals take advantage of this, and taking public funds away from individuals who actuially really need it. Thats not a generalization, thats a fact.

I don't disagree about Congressmen, they can definately help. A Senator though?... really ? I do happen to remember one of the previous Senators, I do believe he was from Alaska, the dude who had his house raided by the FBI I think it was. Somebody asked him about the internet, and his reply was, If I remember correctly,

"The internet is a series of gigantic tubes, and if you go to the right one, you can get a movie delivered to your house"

The senate needs to be abolished.

Being that corruption is rampant everywhere, that is understandable. Be proactive in trying to resolve societal inconsistencies. Close the cookie-jars so everyone does not put their hands in all at once.
