No one uses Windows Live anyway...and the Skype branding is far more valuable.

The funny thing is, it wasn't that long ago, people did. The introduction of Google Chat on Android phones changed that. Before that, you either used Live or Yahoo.

I used MSN Messenger or Live Messenger for years before Gmail came along--then *poof*, just used the chat client in Gmail from there on out. I also text quite a bit from my Gmail chat client--that's a great feature.

Never used Google's chat feature. Never really had a reason to, and I've always used Live on my computer. Now that the FB freature had been intergrated and I have a WP8, there's just no need for me to use Google.

Not that I wouldn't. I'm sure I probably would, if Google would actually stop being asses and make quality app for WP. By that, I mean actually make apps for WP and Windows 8.

If Windows Phone manages to stick around, I can see Google making apps for the platform. And if I'm not using Gmail chat to send texts, I'm just texting from my actual phone--something I had to get used to, as everyone texts these days. Apparently talking is overrated.

As much as I personally love WP, it do realize that it boils down to the apps. Not, the quantity necessarily, but the most popular apps.

Microsoft is gong to have to really put it in, with the premier of Blackberry 10, at the end of the month, and to boot, they're claiming to have about 70,000 apps out the gate. So, competition is going to really heat up and it will be interesting to see where these companies will stand, by the end of the year. But, if WP for whatever reason doesn't make it, I will be trying out the Blackberry 11 or 12. Whatever it will be, by the time my c...

The Windows Marketplace currently has 120,000 apps...I hadn't heard about Blackberry 10 having as many as 70,000 at launch, that's encouraging if true...

One thing that people forget about is that even though RIM sells fewer apps than Google or Apple, they actually have a higher ROI from their apps than either company....

A Blackberry app generates an average of $9,16.67 revenue per app, while Apple and Google get $6.480 and $1,299 per app respectively...

If you're an app developer, you'll likely earn more money from a Blackberry app than from anyone else....

That ROI is going to keep developers interested in Blackberry...
