Everytime people mention Sprint and Clearwire they see them as two different companies, I don't believe you can easily seperate them. The fact is that Sprint owns more than 50% of the shares and has contracts in place for service. There is a reason no one else has tried to buy Clearwire (besides its massive load of debt), they have to deal with Sprint one way or another. Sprint is too far committed to seeing an acquisition go through to let any part of Clearwire get sold off. I think this is just a 'up yours' from Dish because of all the stink Sprint caused with their recent FCC approval of terrestrial use of their satellite spectrum.
Who knows this may go through, but I highly doubt it.
