This phone is so not yuck. I think it is totally awsome. Does this mean it will be CDMA? I didn't see anything about it in the short story.

Yes it is CDMA, Verizon will probably limit the bluetooth just as they did with the 710, its not a big deal to 95% of people who just use blue tooth for handsfree

yeah, especially considering files can be uploaded from your pc simply using the pixplace website media upload option. people who moan and groan about "ball-less bluetooth" are too concerned with the bells and whistles in my opinion. i think too many people have forgotten what a "phone" was intended to be about. i mean, don't get me wrong, extras are great, but they shouldn't really define your opinion of a cell company's primary service objective...reliable, quality voice service. that's one thing that Verizon has in it's favor above all others.

lol! everyone's entitled to their own opinion i suppose, but that's about all i can say in regards to that. i love gadgets as much as anybody, but there's a point at which you cross the line from tech-savvy to tech-geek. worst episode EVER! 😉

well i know for one that allowing you to do 'everything' via bluetooth can lead to lawsuits, etc. because of piracy issues (taking video, pics, etc. and sharing them across multi-platforms)...

and don't make me bring up the t-mobile bluetooth hack episode 🤣

I had the T-Mobile T68i and T68M. One of the best phones I ever owned. Camera phones weren't really out yet but there was a camera accessory available. The only other thing was that the reception wan't that great but I think that was just TMo. Other than that it had ever feature I wanted/needed and wish I had a Verizon version of it right now. I'd use it in a heartbeat over my VX8100 or 7000.

Well, if you're looking for a basic no-frills phone, why are you discussing this fancy-ass phone with lots of features and not any other phone in the VZW lineup?

well...first, i do believe that i stated that i love gadgets as much as anyone. i enjoy new technology. not once did i say i want a complete "no-frills" phone. i was also specifically talking about the .02% of the population that complains about "crippled" bluetooth which seems to be their only real beef with VZW and the fact that allowing such a "frill" to dictate one's perception of a wireless service provider is, imho, a bit childish. it's similar to saying that you wouldn't buy a particular type of car because it wasn't pre-wired for bluetooth (i mean, did you forget about the actual "driving experience"?). personally, i love this phone and many others from many providers and i love the frills...however, there is a fine line between ...

Thank you VZWdawg. It bugs me that so many people complain about how the 710 was "crippled" or the VZW mislead customers. I never once saw any VZW advertisment claiming it did anything more than it what it does. Its a nice phone and has some great features. Poeple complain about nothing far to much.

This phone will not be "crippled" jackass!!! You need to get a life and realize that companies build phones to cater to consumers, not for you personal vendetta, or amusement.

Yes it is for VZW. VX is LG's carrier code for VZ, just like SCH is Samsung's carier code of VZ.
