Apparently the Sprint brand is not mud to some consumers. It will be interesting to see how this service fares.

It is going to do very well! Think about it. Tmobile did it and their 4G no contract plans are making them bounce back.

There are many possibilities with this new service that will benefit new and existing customers.

do you think they will eventually, or should eventually, allow all sprint handsets to be used. I don't really understand why there is a limited selection of handsets. If all phones, high end android and apple iphones, were allowed to be used with this plan, it would probably be a game changer...

Not probably, it would be 100%. This is something that American carriers just can't seem to catch up to, and I don't understand why. In Canada, if you are a user of Virgin Mobile (CDMA, HSPA+, LTE) you can use ANY CDMA or GSM phone (read:any) as long as they support the network mode and frequency. I don't even need to call in, all I do is go into my account page online, and there is a box that lets me enter either a new SIM (gsm) or a new ESN (i think, might be an IMSI, not sure on the lingo) for a CDMA phone. I've switched between SIM and CDMA phones 4 times, and it works amazingly. Everyone I know up here uses Virgin.
