Less educated people here are quick to accuse Apple of abusing patents, but it is funny to see who the real abusers of patents are!

Meh... I can appreciate Blue's enthusiasim for Apple and anything that slams Apple's sworn mortal enemy...SAMSUNG!

Blue has set herself as a target by taking the unpopular side in all of this on numerous occasions. Although I do not AGREE with Blue, I can certainly agree with her right to disagree.

"Less educated" people support a company with an inferior, dated operating system and suicide nets on their buildings.... 😎

It wasn't just the ones manufacturing Apple products, it was Microsoft's as well.

The problem is Foxconn and their poor management in taking care of their employees.

Yes, I'm well aware of this... my point is that the main scandal with all the suicides was due largely to the iphone, and, from what I understand, it took years for Apple to audit the factory, while the problem was well-known...

Apple does not care how many people die.

As long as you can get your iPad at a decent price.

Now THAT I don't understand. I know the plants may complete similar tasks, but being in China and being in South Korea is a HUGE difference. South Korea, I would say, would be very preferable to live in over China. I just don't get it, you'd THINK that a Korean individual working for Samsung would be a match made in heaven.

I suppose it's the same no matter where you are, you are bound to go crazy when you are putting together a cell phone, tablet, or even a TV endlessly and don't make a lot of money from it. I know I'd go crazy after about the 10th phone and look at my watch and see that it's only been 5 minutes.

Shockingly, the same effect. After a few chats, I get annoyed and want to punch every customer in the face with their whiny-ness. πŸ˜›

Hah. No matter the carrier, it'll always be the same from a CSR. I did chat once, I LOVE it.. then, they closed the chat department and put me on the phones.... 😒

Yes, sadly many factories have issues, however, I read that the audits were too few and ineffective... this does seem to be the case... And either way, the apple situation seemed to be the worst case by far, hence the media attention....

Apple has audited every final assembly factory in its supply chain each year since 2006, including more than 40 audits of Foxconn manufacturing and final assembly facilities. Details of Apple’s supplier responsibility program, including the results of more than 500 factory audits led by Apple throughout its supply chain over the past five years, are available at
www.apple.com/supplierresponsibility.

Its anyone and everyone who holds a patent. With a patent you take every opportunity to hold it against your competitors at every turn and twist you charge for every penny that you can. And yes if they cannot pay then you ban the item outright.

Company A tries to gain advantage over Company B

Company B is just as bad if not worse than Company A

fans of both companies sling mud at each other in an endless loop trying to gain some imagined moral high ground in an immitation of both Company A and B all the while having the gall to prentend their above it.

boring.
