Unless you are trying to print poster sized pictures from your phone camera, why would you need a high megapixel count anyway from something like this?

More mp cameras means better quality in my opinion. How could you compare a 2mp camera to one of 12?

The megapixels for the most part do not make a huge difference in the quality of picture.

If a 2 MP camera has a better sensor than a 12 MP camera, the 2 MP camera will usually take better pictures.

Besides, the human eye cannot notice the difference in megapixels after about 5-6 MP.

Very well said.
Its unfortunately not as simple as looking at the number of megapixels on cameras/smartphones and assuming a higher number is better. It may or may not be the case.

Canon reduced its megapixel count on a lot of its cameras a couple of years ago to concentrate more on image quality. The results were better cameras with fewer megapixels.

I would take a 10 year old DSLR with 6mp over a brand new iPhone with 8mp if all that mattered was image quality.

I have used Sonim phones before. They are tougher than any other handsets out there.

I currently have the Kyocera DuraPlus. I would love to get my hands on this one!!

Even though I'm still a bit skeptical of Sprint Direct Connect so far, (too many postings & real-world negative comments about the performance & coverage of SDC, incl where I work, which has begun switching to SDC from Nextel, with discouraging results so far), I am VERY happy to see Sprint bring out this phone in their SDC lineup, it is definitely a positive step. It gives me a bit of hope that Sprint is serious about maintaining PTT leadership and they might still be able to whip the SDC network into shape quickly enough to maintain their PTT leadership and retain the last few million of us long-time Nextel customers..

On a side note, has anyone else noticed that AT&T has purchsed "top listing" sponsored link for "PTT" with Google? No m...
