Generally Samsung phones have good battery life o I guess that TouchWiz has kind of good powe sort of software problem because the battery keepser management software.
Yes you can get a bit more than a day (not near 2) out of the battery if you tweak the phone's behavior a little bit.
I think that the poor battery life could be som draining at an unusual high rate while idling...
