Its an unfortunate state of being with carriers being on different mobile technologies and to a lessor and radios causes this problems. I do understand there's strong opposition to government interference and in many causes, its true. But, if the government in the past set standards and strong portability standards this would have been a far less of a problem. There is no reason why our two major and several regional cdma carriers won't allow movement of each others devices.
