The Government needs to back off.

I think the us Government needs to back off companies and let them make money, carriers like T-mobile are forced to use MVNO's to make more revenue, like this one: www.solavei.com/htij143.

If we had a real free market this "crisis" would not be.

lol, right because the reason T-Mobile has not done well isn't because of the quality of service it offers, decisions it made, and the government should not look into deals that provide less competition.

You do know T-Mobile, and Metro PCS use different technology, the last time a company merged with a company that had different technology it turned out well, right. Must be why Sprint has been doing so well.

Sprint and Nextel did not share frequencies or technologies. The demographics for their customer bases were very different. Until LTE , Sprint and Nextel had no natural upgrade path and had to run two separate networks.

T-Mobile and MetroPCS have a natural upgrade path: LTE.
T-Mobile is a GSM/EDGE , UMTS/HSPA network that shares frequencies with MetroPCS. MetroPCS is a CDMA/LTE network.
