Sprint?
So, is the general consensus stating that this "WILL NOT be for SprintPCS"? Your thoughts... 😎

not likely. rich mentions the music player is a BREW application and then mentions BREW again. Sprint doesn't support BREW, but instead uses Java. So it's highly unlikely, a phone that is built using brew would come out on sprint. currently sprint's mvnos (virgin, etc.) also use java as well.

Hmmm, I see...that makes sense. I thought that this phone would have been good timing for the "unofficial" Sprint / Nextel merger tho...? Bummer! 😎

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that "Amp'd" will get this phone. It seems sporty and appears to target the market they're after.

Can you tell me more about "Ampd"? Is this a new CDMA carrier?
Thanks! 😎

Amp'd is an MVNO founded by the guys at Boost Mobile. They've partnered with Verizon for their network implementation.

Are you sure Amp's was founded by the guys at Boost Mobile? Boost Mobile is a prepaid MVNO of Nextel so I highly doubt that is the case.

I will have to agree with you but only if the phone supports PTT and EV-DO. All Amp'd phones will have PTT & EV-DO.
Doesn't mean that Moto will not make a JAVA version of the phone for Sprint. Who knows.
