I am guessing the reason they are pulling the plug on their app store is because it is losing money. What other reason would there be for Verizon to pull their bloatware off of their devices.

Now where will we get original Verizon content? How will I know it's VZW approved? Can I trust an app if it's not preloaded on my phone ?

I wouldn't mind so much getting apps from the carrier store....except that the vast majority of them have a monthly fee, which I think is simply absurd.

A couple year ago I was looking at getting a MS Pac Man game from the ATT App Store...the price was $5.99 and I thought 'that's not bad'...then I noticed that it was actually '$5.99 MONTHLY' and I thought that was ridiculous and didn't buy it.

I'm pretty sure it's sarcasm....no one actually likes carrier apps, they suck, even when they work, they're overpriced.
