I get so tired of people exaggerating how bad things are for RIM.....RIM is NOWHERE NEAR 'the brink of death'......with the cash reserves, they could sustain losses for at least another 5 years without going bankrupt, their revenues and subscriber base are increasing, and they have not lost any of their major app developers like Jared, Skylab Mobilesystems or S4BB, indeed these companies are INCREASING their commitment to the Blackberry platform, and even many Apple and Android developers are starting to make Blackberry apps, which is why you can now get Angry Birds for the Playbook, and a Flixster app was just introduced and both Major League Baseball and the NFL now have official apps...and polls show that currently Blackberry users are very interested in and very excited about Blackberry 10....go to a place like Crackberry or even the official Blackberry site and look at the discussions and you'll see that Blackberry 10 is practically the only thing people are interested in.....I have no doubt that when the first Blackberry 10 phones are released that there is going to be a big wave of upgrades from the Blackberry faithful, some people have been holding off on their upgrade for more than a year....

I am not going to claim that everything is hunky dorey, certainly it is not going as well as it was in, say, 2009......

But it is nowhere near as bad as you are making it out to be
