The unlocked Galaxy Nexus doesn't have LTE either....only HSPA+

Well...I suppose the lack of LTE on the unlocked Galaxy Nexus would be disappointing to me if I had LTE coverage where I live...but since I don't I didn't really care....the 'unlocked' phone is really intended for at&t, and since at&t doesn't have much LTE coverage yet I guess they just don't consider it important enough to add yet.

You are still locked into a 2 year contract. With LTE expanding in my area from all carriers, it's disappointing that they are still releasing 3G and fake 4G. They shouldn't have settled with T-Mobile as being the main carrier for it and went with another carrier. By the time your contract is up, LTE should have a respectable footprint for all the carriers.

Not on the unlocked version you're not.....you get it directly from Google....it is what we used call when I worked at at&t 'customer owned equipment'
