MetroPCS Selling Samsung Galaxy S III for $499
In LAYMAN's terms this means that in order for the major carriers to operate in this country as they do not own spectrum they simply lease it from the American people by proxy of FCC auctions part of THAT lease agreement is that they must allow lesser companies to sub lease spectrum from them at a wholesale pricing for them to operate ... Over simplified but due to a nasty little secret known as TOWER PRIORITY the customers of the post paid customers get priorty in airtime and packet data speeds over the MVNO customers who are paying less to their MVNO Carrier..
So, you GET what you have Paid for... So, why NOT sign a 24 month contract with a MAJOR Post Paid Carrier and get the GSIII for $99.99 (you can get that price...
Metro PCS is not an MVNO, they are a regional carrier with their own 4G LTE network. They have roaming agreements with Sprint and US Cellular.
Now, let's talk service plans. For $30 per month (out the door by the way) you have unlimited talk and text with 250MB of high speed web and unlmited throttled service thereafter. $55 buys you unlimited everything with no limits. A 3GB user saves $45 per month with Metro compared to the competition. That means in 11 months you've paid for your handset in savings alone.
I can't speak to the quality of service in your area. I can speak to the quality of your post though. If you don't know what you're talking about, please refrain from posting.
I know this all to well as I work for a major carrier in the back office and I deal with federal compliance issues for my employer. I have seen 1st hand where we have had our hand forced for sub lease spectrum to Metro SPECIFICALLY at sub prime rates.
They have FLASHED (stolen) our subsidized equipment for years now and as a kick in the assets to boot we have been forced to let them work off our our towers.
I have no respect for these people or how they manipulate federal commerce laws to have someone else cover their overhead... its corporate welfare my new friend.
Cricket on the other hand does offer their service outside of their markets, so the practice isn't unheard of. But I must state again, Metro PCS does not engage in this practice.
As far as flashing handsets, it's much less common now as Metro has a wide selection of equipment and fashed equipment doesn't work in AWS markets. Even so, it's not Metro PCS' responsibility to see if an ESN is stolen or locked off from a network due to non-pay. If the wireless industry a...
Get off the computer at the Metro PCS counter's kiosk a go flirt with the homely teenage girl at the Cinnabon at the mall located in the middle of nowhere.
God, I am so stupid to of wasted my time feeding into your bull instead of simply ignoring you..
Whatever you do, don't expect to post lies about ANY carrier on this forum and not get called out.
I'm not only Mad but I am Fat as well ...
A mad, fat business data operations analyst for a major carrier. If I don't know what I am talking about then I have been.collecting a sizeable paycheck on barrowed time for quite some time now...
