Android First?

Anyone notice that it was the Android app that was first developed with the iOS app to follow later. Coming from a large auto company like Ford, this is a definite sign that Apple is losing its grip on the culture.

True.....if they developed the Android app first...there's simply no way Tim Cook could be happy to hear that the iPhone is thought of as the second most important market....

Apple is working with multiple car manufacturers (such as BMW, General Motors,Toyota, Mercedes, Honda, and Audi.) in integrating a specific button on the steering wheel to have Siri pop up with answer calls, responding to text messages, GPS, and etc. When they announced iOS6, they said it can take up to a year for integration to begin for cars that have this included.

I believe most of those companies also work with the Mirror Link Consortium that allows you to connect to the car audio system wirelessly. Apple is not, so you may still be forced to have a wired connection for Apple products. (Lots of Pros-Cons on both sides)

Yep! I noticed šŸ˜ !

Personally, I have a hard time understanding why someone would want to pay $50, when Google Navigation is *FREE*
I've been using Google Navigation to get to places since I've been home, a little over 2wks now, it works great!

The main reason I use 3rd party GPS applications like Telenav, is I noticed they have a more complete mapping system. Along with you donā€™t need an Android phone to get complete GPS ( I have Android, Wife has IOS). Not saying Googleā€™s GPS isnā€™t good, just saying some of those 3rd part GPS systems give a more complete GPS system. Also, Telenav has Scout, a free GPS service, you can also opt to pay for the full service.
