Softbank Won't Put Up With Clear...

Seriously man Clear (Clearwire) cannot even pay the interest on their corporate loans let alone anything towards the principal and forget making payments as promised.

Clear is the primary reason why Sprint has had to seek alternative sources of capital and voo doo economics.

While it may not be choice spectrum bands, Clearwire owns an abundance of 2600Mhz frequency that would be quite useful in supplementing Sprint's own holdings. One of the key reasons Sprint has been holding onto Clearwire as a partner. There is advantages that the spectrum can help in elevating the 4G experience. Offloading to this frequency while the base frequencies are being excessively used would greatly benefit the network.

I'm not a proponent of an overseas purchaser of an American company. Sprint is on the road to recovery and I would hate to see a sellout so soon into this turnaround. However, I would be happy to see the collective kept in tact by said purchaser.

So does the anouncement today of the purchase give any certainty to Clear? Or is their any uncertainty left? The Sprint/Clearwire merger did not work and the wimax is as good as dead, but shouldn't clear still have some viable resources?
