D600 is everything Sprint want in the A800

Why can't sprint realize that bluetooth functionality is desired enough by our customers to build that feature into our phones! The feature set and style of the D600 is very reminiscent of the A800 and yet it offers potentially more stuff. Sadly I also wouldn't be surprised if this phone comes to the market at a lower selling price than the A800, which would throw out the idea that it is a cost issue which limits the A800 from having certain features.

Just venting sorry.

They won't be released in the US at least. And even if they were Sprint wouldn't have these phones, it would be Cingular or T-mobile (hence the GSM bands listed)

Just a shame that they made it a slider phone instead of a flip. Slider phones can tend to hang up if you're not careful, they're too touchy really...Tri band is nice, most of the Samsung phones I've seen have only been dual band at most.

It's desired...but that desire isn't as widespread as you think. Me? I couldn't care less about bluetooth (except as a means of transferring info wirelessly between phone and computer...and I don't even really need that).

I sort of understand where you're coming from . . . but at the same time I think that bluetooth is one of those things, that once you become accustomed to using it, it's really hard to go back to not having it (sort of like having a cell phone). We use it all the time at my work, and its incredibly convenient to be able to send a coworker a contact or a document via bluetooth just by pressing a button. You're right that not all customers are interested in that convenience, but I think that all that dwranger is saying is that he (and many other people on Sprint) would at least like to have the option of using it.

Well, the majority of the general public doesn't even know what bluetooth is. Y...

I would have to agree with you that the majority of the 'American' public doesn't know what Bluetooth is (unlike Europe, where bluetooth is everywhere). I think the issue with Samsung is also the it is a Korean company, while Bluetooth is originally European technology. It seems like they're farther ahead on some of the camera/video technology (i.e. streaming video is old hat in South Korea, but relatively new through the rest of the world), while the European manufacturers like Nokia and Sony Ericsson seem to incorporate bluetooth into all of their mid- and high-end phones now (while Samsung has none).

I'll agree with that. Asia has a huge lead in video technology.

Asia leads America in EVERY technology. i recently read an interesting article that explained why, one example they used was that in American schools your as cool as your new pair of "air force ones" (shoes) and in Asia your coolness level depends on what new gadgets you have. so the many American teenagers and early adults that could care less about a camera phone or blue tooth or even EVDO technologies are the ones that are killing us ;) so if you want to see this technology more evident in the future buy more of it 😁
