Is this phone not dual core? If not there should be no reason that phones such as Titan 2 and Lumia 900 not receiving Windows 8.

I'm not sure the dual core was the sole reason for WP8 OS not being put on current phones. Besides, they didn't say it was a WP8 device. It could very well be WP7.8, too. But, my point is, it may be some other features that are hardware specific that current phones don't have and MS is just refusing to call it WP8. If you noticed, the article stated that the phone will have covers that will allow it to support wireless charging. It's not built in, which leads me to believe that the issue isn't just the amount of cores and the WP7.8 title, may just be a way of keeping people from expecting every feature to be available with current phones.
I believe with the 7.8 update, we can expect many new features, than just a new start screen. I just...

Yeah it's Windows 8 alright. However, I remember reading somewhere don't remember that exact place the CPU is the cause of current Windows devices not receiving W8. Can't wait to switch to this phone however, Sick of Android. Too bad the Lumia 920 is AT&T exclusive. That phone is a beast.

It is very, very, VERY doubtful that this is caused by processor speed. More likely, by Processor architecture, or the actuial way the device's internals were designed.

Looks like the lack of stating the 810 is dual core, is an oversight on the editor's part. According to Cnet, the 810 is 1.5 dual core. Just happened to read an article on the hands on, of this phone.

What I heard is that with 7.8 you get every feature of Windows 8 except three which are simply not compatible...so that's about 90% or more of Windows 8....which is not bad...
